Abstract Organization dedicated to meeting the philanthropic, social and intellectual needs of the women of Springfield, Illinois. Founded May 26, 1894, as Springfield Womanâs Club. Incorporated March 1927 as The Womanâs Club of Springfield. Collection contains minutes, annual reports, financial records and scrapbooks reflecting the operations and activities of the club. Approximately one linear foot of published material and 119 lantern slides have been transferred out of the collection.
