Manuscript on Belle Reynolds

Scope and Contents Manuscript of article written about Belle Reynolds' service during the Civil War and her commission given by Governor Yates of Illinois. Also briefly describes her work as a physician after the war in Chicago, California and the Philippines. A signed note by Belle Reynolds telling who Mr. Morris is and that he had written her re: the article which appeared in an Omaha newspaper. Also a short note by Thomas C. Shelley who had served in the 17th Infantry with Mr. Reynolds re: Belle's later life.
