Record subgroup for the ALPLM Manuscripts Department for collections and vertical files. Small collections include personal and family papers, corporate records, county records, and military records. Vertical files include small collections of unknown or varied provenance used predominantly as ready reference files, documenting Illinois counties and cities, individuals, businesses, organizations, and events.

Collection — Box 65
Scope and Contents Photocopies of pages from his journal listing the marriages, baptisms and deaths in the Park, Quinn, Moberley, Clark and Cobb families from 1843 through 1879. Typed copy of couples married by Park, 1852-1879; individuals baptized, 1848-1872; and funerals performed, 1853-1867.

Collection — Box 61
Scope and Contents Board of Health forms filled out by Rev. W.P. Baker, Cumberland Presbyterian Church minister at Hillsboro, Illinois, for the marriages he performed. Gives full name of bride and groom as well as their place of residence, date of birth, full name of mother and father, number of prior marriages, maiden name of bride if previously married, groom's occupation, name of witnesses and date of marriage.

Scope and Contents Includes indentures for apprentices, estray notices, bankruptcy petitions, marriage records, receipts from the County Treasurer signed by Sangamon County Clerk, Charles R.
