Sends contribution and states that when the Union has favorably completed "this present question" he will devote all of his time and strength to "Irish Nationality".

Colonel in the 23rd Illinois Infantry (the Irish Brigade) from Chicago, who was taken prisoner at the battle at Lexington, Missouri in 1861 and fatally wounded at the Battle of Winchester, Virginia in July 1864.
