Biographical / Historical
From Templeton, Mass., son of Otis and Unity Partridge, came to Illinois and worked as a cabinetmaker in Galena, and in a mill in Hamilton, Ill. His sister, Clara, came to Illinois with her husband James Spencer Kimball. She and her husband taught school at the Wayland Female Institute in Upper Alton.
