Three letters to his wife Grace. One from Bowling Green, Kentucky gives the details of the capture of that town. The other two from Graysville and Murfreesboro, Tenn. discuss some family news, actions of the regiment and his visit to Chickamauga battlefield with a vivid description of the site. Commission to Captain signed by Governor Yates. Muster roll for the 19th Regiment from Feb. 29-April 30, 1864. Letter, July 9, 1864, from Chicago to Quartermaster General Meigs advising of return of military equipage used between January 1863 and July 9, 1864, while in command of the 19th.
