The Mildred Conrad Horner Collection was compiled by Mrs. Horner (d. 1942) in preparation for writing a biography of Charles S. Deneen, two term Republican Governor of Illinois. Mrs. Horner, a resident of Chicago, was a long-time school teacher, writer and genealogist.
