Abstract Born in 1893, John Cabot Blood was a landowner and lumber businessman from Grayville and Mt. Carmel, Illinois. The collection includes correspondence, cash receipts and disbursements, farm scale books, farm and lumber accounts, notes, tax records, and other financial records documenting Blood’s management of family farm lands in Illinois and Indiana and his involvement in the Blood Lumber Company.

Scope and Contents Louis Aubert was a member of the French High Commission to the United States, a diplomatic delegation to foster the alliance between the two nations after the United States entered the First World War in 1917.Consists of one letter written by Aubert from Paris to Jessie Palmer Weber of the Illinois State Historical Library in 1921.
