Born in 1893, John Cabot Blood was a landowner and lumber businessman from Grayville and Mt. Carmel, Illinois. The collection includes correspondence, cash receipts and disbursements, farm scale books, farm and lumber accounts, notes, tax records, and other financial records documenting Bloodâs management of family farm lands in Illinois and Indiana and his involvement in the Blood Lumber Company.
