Scope and Contents One letter gives a list of resolutions he believes the Park County girls should abide by and include "tender services as clerks, mechanics and tillers of the soil" while the men are serving, and "withhold friendship and love from every able bodied young man who will not enlist". He gives his account of the battles at Fort Henry and Donelson, Pittsburgh Landing and Corinth.
