Letter to his sister, Lottie, from Indianapolis writes of his trip to Niagara Falls and Lacrosse, Wisconsin and describes the falls and the Wisconsin country side. He has heard several "Republican speeches" from Wm. Seward, B.F. Wade and Owen Lovejoy. In Springfield, Ill. met his "brother-in-law Senator Trumbull" and met with "Mr. Lincoln twice" and gives his impression of him. Was given an autographed picture and letter by Lincoln.
