Occasionally refers to books he is reading. Last entry, Nov. 4, 1865 states he is leaving Columbus for Vicksburg to muster out. Includes an 1869 letter from James McCosh at Princeton re: "intuitions", "metaphysics" and his students who are teaching at Belfast and Derry.
